Mission & Vision
Ever since I was a little girl I remember wanting to change the world…it was crazy! There was so much that was so magical; how could the adults not see it? The clouds in the sky, love, dogs, hands, leaves, stars, kindness, music, dancing, wild strawberries, a good book–and yet the “grownups,” media, school, and news showed so much delusion, greed, violence & lack of consciousness!
When I was three years old I was in the garden with my mother as she was turning over the earth in the vegetable garden. Whenever she would turn a new clump of earth, I would take the displaced earthworms in my little fingers, kiss them, and say, “don’t be afraid, you’re just going to a new home.” How could they not see what a little kid could see? They were asleep at the wheel!
After millions of years of evolution, people were still KILLING each other. Adults couldn’t talk things out. They talked about meaningless things. They were destroying the planet. Leading lives they hated. Numbing out with TV and alcohol and whatever else they could find. They still seemed to think external appearances were the most important thing. WHAT WAS HAPPENING?? I would stay up nights in middle school and high school writing reams about how to have better education, healthcare, food systems. People were hungry and homeless! I fell into a deep depression, and felt like screaming: COME ON PEOPLE! WAKE UP! THERE’S GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY!
So, I went on a long journey and discovered truths about my own nature, life and the universe that were beyond any of my previous imaginings (you can read my personal story here) but to keep it short, suffice to say I have always been committed to the TRUTH, to waking up, to fearless seeing, to reckless authenticity, and to creating a more enlightened society… and I suffered a lot along the way, which taught me how to help other people through their own suffering.
One of the truths I’ve discovered is that evolving our society starts with evolving ourselves. If we want a conscious, enlightened society, we have to start by being conscious, evolved beings ourselves—as much as we can, in every aspect of out lives. This doesn’t have to be intimidating, it doesn’t mean you have to have satori or have Jesus bang on your head or light shining out your crown chakra or be fully enlightened (though that’s great) – it means we’ve got to LIVE the principles we wish to see in the world. AWARENESS, COMPASSION, VIBRANT ALIVENESS, CONSCIOUSNESS, WISDOM, HONESTY, UNITY, KINDNESS, GENEROSITY, OPEN-MINDEDNESS, AUTHENTICY, COURAGE, etc….these are things each of us can do and recommit to daily.
When we do this, we become an AMBASSADOR of the awesome future we are manifesting. Go ahead, right now…please…take a moment and close your eyes, relax, take a deep breath, and imagine your most inspiring, heart-opening, soul-orgasmically good vision of how life could be on this planet for all beings and the planet itself. It is all connected. Now touch into your highest self, living in that society—picture it vividly—hear it, see it, taste, smell, touch it. FEEL how it feels in your body! Feel yourself AWAKEN to a new possibility—a possibility of living in an AWAKE world…YAHOO!! AHO!!
Now, imagine you are an Ambassador from that time to now… how would you behave? What would you share with the people of this time? What would you create? These are the Ambassadors of Awakening. Regular incredible people who have decided enough is enough and have committed to BEING a living example of our truest, most authentic nature and what’s possible in our lives and on our shared planet in every moment. In doing this, we touch each and every person we meet, we send out a ripple effect into our homes, the neighborhood, the country and the cosmos. Together, we can begin to create the families, communities, and societies that all the great teachers, leaders and guides have talked about from early Goddess tradition to Zarathustra to Moses to Jesus to Native Traditions to Mohammed to MLK to Ghandi to Einstein to Mother Theresa and so many more, known and unknown to the world.
It can be scary to take a big leap, I’m scared sometimes, and I stumble a lot. But I also have many moments of grace, and I know we’re just going to a new home within ourselves. And the truth is, I cannot be another way. If this doesn’t resonate with you, then I wish you nothing but love and support on your own journey.
