Paying it Forward
Help Yourself, Help the World
In addition to coaching, I also volunteer as a grief counselor, facilitating groups of bereaved children ages 5-12 who have lost a parent or sibling, as well as a teen group at ISA High School. I am also trained as a Buddhist Chaplain and training to be a Sufi Minister; I volunteer in hospice, providing care for the sick and dying, as well as meditating with prisoners and studying to facilitate groups in conflict on peace and reconciliation. Many of the people I meet in these capacities are my greatest teachers, and I feel blessed to know them. The coaching fees you provide are not only my livelihood, but also enable me to continue with this work. I like my clients to know that not only are they showing commitment to and investing in themselves and their loved ones by investing in coaching, but also supporting others in need to get guidance and support. I wouldn’t be able to do this without the support of my clients. So, thank you, with all my heart!
Additionally, I put 10% of my income through Kiva: Loans that Change Lives. Kiva is a micro-financing organization that loans small amounts of money to individuals in poverty stricken nations around the globe, enabling them to start small businesses and get the leg up that enables them to escape the cycle of poverty. This means your coaching fees are also helping to change the lives of people all around the globe. Isn’t that amazing?! No human being should have to suffer hunger or homelessness.
