Why Wildlife?

Dear Friend,

When most people think of “Wild” they might think of something passionate, lawless, lacking restraint or even crazy.

But to me the word “Wild,” beyond being my given last name, has a much deeper and authentic meaning.

Wild, to me, signifies Nature–it’s our deepest essence–the most authentic natural self that we are born with. It indicates our truest self, before we are “tamed” and “domesticated” by our families, friends, education, media, work environment, society and all the other forces that influence our desires and beliefs about ourselves and the world.

While a lot of what we learn from others is necessary for our survival and for thriving in our particular culture–when it comes to discovering who we truly are and what our most sincere hopes and dreams are for our own life, we often discover that there are layers upon layers of conditioned ideas and beliefs that we have to dig through. We come to understand that much of what we thought was our own, we actually accepted from others in an effort to be, well, domestic. We wanted to get along, to get by, to fit in, and so we got swept up in the values and thought-systems of everyone around us.

But at some point in our lives, we suddenly realize: “Wait a minute! What am I doing here? What do I really want? Is this way of being making me feel happy and fulfilled? Does my life reflect my deepest values and aspirations?” and, for that matter, “Who am I really?” and “Why am I letting old thoughts and habits hold me back from who I really want to be and what I really want?”

This is a wonderful moment!

Our wildness --

--our innate nature, the deepest core of our being--has stirred and awoken. We feel a longing for something else. Some people know exactly what that is for them, and others just know that something needs to change in order for them to feel at home and fulfilled in their own life. We begin to re-examine and reassess our whole world--our relationships, career, personas, goals and dreams. We are ready to change the direction of our sails. And that's where I come in. Living the Wild Life isn't about being crazy, it's about no longer letting others and the world hold you back from expressing your true self and highest visions. It's about living freely in a way that's aligned with your true nature--your core values, your most fulfilling passions, your highest aspirations and your most authentic self. The beautiful thing I've found is that when people finally allow themselves to be who they are, it not only improves their own life, but also the lives of all the people they touch. Free (which is another way of saying Wild) people inspire us, bring us joy, tend to be more generous, loving, open and fun to be around. From one candle, many other candles are lit. That's what Wild Life Coaching is all about. Whether we focus on your personal life, your business success, or your spiritual self, we will be exploring: what's really true for you? What does your heart truly long for? What makes you come alive? Who are you really? What do you need to do to be satisfied at the end of your life? What will make you feel ultimately free? and, most importantly, What's it going to take to get you where you want to be?

Are you ready to live a fully integrated, authentic, successful and fulfilling life on your own terms?

I know the answers to these questions are waiting inside you, in your deepest nature--your wild self--and I can't wait to get started uncovering them with you, journeying and discovering with you in a safe, courageous, thrilling and authentic partnership. I look forward to hearing from you!
